Mary/Maryam/Mariam is revered in Islam as the Virgin mother of Isa/Jesus. Her name is mentioned more often in the Qur'an than it is in the New Testament! She has an entire sura/book of the Qur'an dedicated to her, and has many titles of honor in Islamic culture.
