  • Literature Resource Center
    Literature Resource Center (LRC) is a comprehensive online resource for research on literary topics, authors, and their works. Coverage includes all genres and disciplines, all time periods, and all regions of the world. Includes full-text scholarly articles from more than 360 academic journals and literary magazines—the majority peer-reviewed—as well as excerpts from scholarly monographs, literary correspondence and diaries. Also inclludes reviews of books of all sorts, from children's literature to adult fiction, from popular non-fiction to scholarly studies. Database contains biographical essays on more than 130,000 authors, providing insights into life and times, works, and critical reception. Includes full text of thousands of poems and short stories published in contemporary journals and magazines. Has links to editorially selected websites on authors and their works, as well as pictures of well-known authors and audio interviews and reviews.

    A fully searchable online library of more than 350,000 works of English and American poetry, drama and prose, full-text literature journals, and other key criticism and reference resources.
  • Literature Criticism Online
    Literature Criticism Online (LCO) is an extensive compilation of literary criticsm delivered in an online format that matches the exact look and feel of the print originals. Provides scholarly and popular commentary from broadsheets, pamphlets, encyclopedias, books and periodicals. LCO combines all ten of Gale’s multi-volume reference sources into one cross-searchable database. Coverage spans the centuries from Classical to Contemporary, and includes every major literary genre, including poetry, drama, short stories, and children’s literature. Besides providing access to over 200,000 essays on authors and their works, LCO also provides content on more than 600 diverse topics of literary interest such as “American Transcendentalism,” “Cuban Exile Literature,” “Nineteenth Century Science Fiction,” and “Polish Romanticism.”
  • MLA International Bibliography
    The MLA International Bibliography provides a subject index for books and articles published on modern languages, literatures, folklore, and linguistics. It is compiled by the staff of the MLA Office of Bibliographic Information Services with the cooperation of more than 100 contributing bibliographers in the United States and abroad. Available online, the MLA International Bibliography annually indexes over 66,000 books and articles.
  • JSTOR
    JSTOR offers interdisciplinary content to support scholarship and teaching. It includes over one thousand leading academic journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as select monographs and other materials valuable for academic work. Journals are always included from volume 1, issue 1 and include previous and unrelated titles. Typically, coverage ends 3-5 years before the present date, a "moving wall" system that protects publishers from last revenue for recent articles.
