Finals can be a stressful time. Your friends at the William H. Hannon Library, FITWELL/Burns Rec Center, Campus Safety Services, Housing, LMU Bookstore, Medicinal Garden of Biology Department, and Student Psychological Services want to make it as manageable as possible.
So in addition to providing you with spaces to study and spaces to work-out your anxieties, we are partnering to offer a number of stress-relieving activities during Spring finals, December 2 -December 9, 2024.
In-person at the library, we will offer areas for coloring, origami, and puzzles. Be on the lookout for therapy animals (and yoga goats!), coffee and donuts, our traveling snack cart, and more.
On this guide, you will find various virtual stress-busting activities, including tips for success, Spotify playlists, streaming "slow-time" videos, and reading recommendations. Good luck, Lions!
During this time, a variety of stress-relieving activities will be available throughout the library, including tables for coloring, origami, and puzzles. Additionally, watch out for these specific events:
All the events above are happening at the library.
We have 33 group study rooms that LMU students can reserve for private or group study. Be sure to book your reservation early! Reserve a room here.
We have a number of open areas for quiet individual and group study. We call these "the study wedges" and you can find them on levels 2-3 of the library.
Need access to a computer, specialized software, or printing? We have 80 computers available first come, first served in our Information Commons on level 1.
During Finals Week, our library instruction classrooms (room #117-118) will be open for students to use as study space. You can find these classrooms down the hall past the lockers and bathrooms on Level 1.
During Finals Week, the Von der Ahe Family Suite will be open for students to use as a study space. You can find the VDA Suite on Level 3.
