By now you know the Web can contain really good information, but also skewed or misleading "information" ... or pure garbage. You can just dig around for a while, OR you can save time and get better information by seeing what sites other folks have found to be really good. In the box to the right, see a couple of Expert Lists of links on Religion, as well as a Directory which pre-examines and describes good sites.
St. Augustine of Hippo (James J. O'Donnell, U.Penn. & Georgetown) Introductions, texts, translations, commentaries and more.
St. Thomas Aquinas (Thomas Institut, Utrecht) An attempt to create a list of links to a number of different sites containing texts by Aquinas; some are in Latin, some English. For an ongoing new English translation of the <i> Summa Theologica<i/>, see Alfred Freddoso's online site, and the print volumes in LINUS. (NOTE: As each volume goes to print, it gets taken off the site.)
St. Ignatius of Loyola (Woodstock Theological Center) Compilations of 50 letters and other writings by Ignatius.
John Henry Newman (National Institute for Newman Studies) Collected works (both Anglican and Catholic periods), biography, and more.
Here is a relatively new Web site from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, regarding the new English translation of the revised Roman Missal. It includes background, sample texts, a list of terms and definitions, and an FAQ. This is a growing site, so check now and then for updates and additions to content.
