Library Resources in the Time of COVID-19

Use this guide to learn how to access library resources online and get virtual support with your research during the COVID-19 pandemic closure.

Interlibrary Loan Requests (LINK+ and ILLiad)

If you have interlibrary loan or Link+ materials to return, please check Return Materials for current return options. If you have any questions, please contact 310-338-7689 and leave a message, or email libdocs@lmu.edu.

Unfortunately, at this time you will not be able to request materials through LINK+ because most libraries in the LINK+ network are now closed. To renew your LINK+ materials, please contact 310-338-7689 and leave a message, or email libdocs@lmu.edu. We will respond Monday – Friday within 24 hours with your new due date.

Have articles or book chapters emailed to you: LMU students and faculty can request articles or book chapters through ILLiad from other libraries, if they are still open. These articles will be available in your online ILLiad account, usually in about 5 business days, as a PDF to download.

Additionally, if you are off-campus, you can use WorldCat to search other libraries near you. While you may not be able to check those items out, many public and academic libraries allow guests to browse and use their collections on-site. Of course, this assumes that those libraries are open.
