Find an LMU dissertation

Beginning in 2013, theses and dissertations were submitted in electronic form. You can browse or search these dissertations in our Digital Commons.

Some bound LMU theses are located in the library. Please use the  LMU library catalog to find the location and call number of the desired thesis/theses. If you know it, you may search by title or by author.

To browse for theses and dissertations by students in LMU graduate programs, you can start in the advanced search of our library catalog. The library has a large collection of art therapy theses as well as some in education, theological studies, and philosophy.

In the first box, change the drop-down field to "Author" and type in Loyola Marymount University.  In the second box, type in "thesis."  In the third box, (optional) type in the subject or graduate program.

Here are a couple of sample searches:

loyola marymount university and thesis
Ed.D. and thesis and loyola marymount university

If you have trouble locating a thesis, or if you need more help searching, please contact the Information Desk.
