Library Resources in the Time of COVID-19

The library building will be closed beginning March 18, 2020. Use this guide to learn how to access library resources online and get virtual support with your research.

Renewing Library Materials

In order to best serve the needs of our community, students who have library items checked out that they need for their studies do not need to return them at this time. Additionally, we at the library understand that some students will not be able to return their library items before their due date. To that end, we are developing new procedures that will allow students to return their checked out items either in person at a later date or via pre-paid postal mail. More details on that will be coming out later in the semester.

While we ultimately desire to have our books and other library materials back, our primary concern is for the health of our students. If you have questions or concerns about items you have checked out, please contact us at circulation@lmu.edu.

To Renew Materials Online: Library users can renew Hannon library materials online through My Account on the library website. See also: How do I renew a book online?

Returning Library Materials

If you have LMU Library materials checked out and you cannot return them to the library before their due date, or if you have any concerns about materials on your account, please contact the Circulation Desk at 310.338.5709 or email circulation@lmu.edu. We will work with you to extend those deadlines where possible.

If you have interlibrary loan (ILLiad) or LINK+ items checked out and you cannot return them to the library before their due date, please contact Interlibrary Loan Department at 310.338.7689 or libdocs@lmu.edu.

For now, please hold onto your books if possible. If necessary, you can mail your book(s) to:
