THE BOOK 1999-Present
Celebrating the Common First Year Book and the Uncommon Experience of Reading
The LMU Book Program is designed to unite first year students in a common academic endeavor that goes beyond the traditional classroom. By participating in an intellectual community across the campus, students can make serious ideas, critical inquiry and socially significant action.
The program was founded in 1999 by Dr. Joseph Jabbra, former Academic Vice President; Dr. Elena Bove, Senior Vice-President for Student Affairs; and David Killoran, professor and chair of the English department.
